广东省国际文化交流中心1985年在广州成立，是广东省开展民间国际文化交流的省级社会团体。其宗旨是：通过民间的国际文化交流，加强广东与世界各国、各地区人民的相互了解和友好合作，为广东的经济发展、科技进步、文化繁荣服务，为促进世界和平作出贡献。

　　广东省国际文化交流中心的最高领导机构是理事会全体会议。理事会由近百名广东省各界社会知名人士及海外热心于文化交流事业的知名人士组成，其中包括着名的科学家、艺术家、学者、社会活动家、企业家等。中心内部设有主管各领域交流的业务部门及综合管理部门，下设广东南之风文化艺术有限公司。

　　广东省国际文化交流中心交流范围广泛，涉及文化艺术、科学技术、经济学术、教育体育、新闻出版、民族宗教等多个领域。交流形式灵活多样，通过举办文艺演出和展览、召开国际会议和学术研讨、组织考察采访和专题讲座等多种方式开展活动。

　　广东省国际文化交流中心成立以来，在海内外理事们的积极支持和关心下，密切同有关社团合作，接待了来自五大洲50多个国家和地区的艺术团体和学者、工商界人士，倡议、主办和参与举办了一系列的国际性、区域性文化交流活动。通过近三十年来的积极努力，广东省国际文化交流中心已经成为广东省对外民间文化交流的重要窗口，在国内外具有较高的信誉和影响。

　　广东省国际文化交流中心将借改革开放前沿之优势，承对外文化交流之传统，集中国文化及岭南文化之精华，积极开拓新世纪民间对外文化交流渠道，为广东省的两个文明建设作出更大贡献。

　　广东省国际文化交流中心将遵循中共中央十七届六中全会关于"加强文化建设，推动社会主义文化大发展大繁荣，建设社会主义文化强国"的全面部署和中共中央政治局委员、中国国际文化交流中心理事长王兆国关于"文化是民族生存和发展的根本，是维系国家统一和民族团结的精神纽带，关系到党和人民事业的兴衰成败"的讲话精神，开拓创新，有所作为。当今之世，文化和政治相互交融，对外文化交流工作不仅关系到我国文化事业的繁荣发展，而且关系到国家安全和社会稳定，在今后的工作中，一要与时俱进，科学发展，突出民族特色和广东特色，进一步做好对外文化交流工作；二要充分发挥人才优势，拓宽交流渠道，进一步提高交流层次和水平。我们将牢牢把握好工作方向，准确理解和大力发展先进文化，弘扬中华文化，吸收借鉴人类文化成果，为中华崛起、民族复兴、文化强国，为中国现代化建设和社会进步服务，努力为我省建设幸福广东，推动文化科学发展，促进社会和谐，实现富裕安康，完成由文化大省向文化强省的转变作出贡献，切实发挥民间对外交流工作的组织作用，架起广东人民与世界各国人民友好合作的桥梁。

Guangdong international Culture Exchange Center (GDICEC) was established in Guangzhou in 1985 as a nongovernmental organization on the Provincial level for international culture exchange. The tenet of GDICEC is to improve mutual understanding and promote friendly cooperation among people of Guangdong Province and people of every countries and regions in the world through nongovernmental international culture exchange activities, contributing to the economic development and scientific improvement and cultural prosperity of Guangdong Province and the promotion of world peace.

The supreme leadership of GDICEC is in the plenary session of its council of directors, which is made up of over one hundred celebrities of different circles in Guangdong and oversea celebrities who are enthusiastic in international culture exchange activities, including famous scientists, artists,scholars, social activists and entrepreneurs, etc. There are operating departments which are in charge of culture exchange activities of different fields.Guangdong Southern Wind Literature &Art Co.Ltd. is a subsidiary of GDICEC.

GDICEC is involved in a wide range of culture exchange activities, covering literature and art, science and technology , economy, education and sports, press and publishing, nationality and religion,etc. These activities were taken in various forms, such as performances, exhibitions, international conferences and seminars, surveys, interviews and lectures. 

Since established, under the support and concern of domestic and oversea directors, GDICEC has received, in cooperation with relevant organizations, art groups , scholars and entrepreneurs from more than 50 countries and regions and it has organized a series of international and regional culture exchange activities. The 30 years 's effort has made GDICEC an important media for nongovernmental culture exchange of Guangdong with foreign countries, earning a high reputation and having a great influence in the world. 

Located in Guangdong Province, GDICEC has the advantage of Guangdong Province in China's reform and opening-up campaigns. Adhering to its tradition of work of international culture exchange and the quintessence of Chinese culture and Lingnan(Southern China ) Culture, GDICEC will actively seek new ways for nongovernmental culture exchange in the new century and make greater contribution to the construction of material and spiritual civilization of Guangdong Province.
